ESP Airdrop Eligibility

Who Qualifies for the
Espresso Airdrop?

The ESP Airdrop rewards every participant who helped test, build and validate Espresso's modular sequencer infrastructure across mainnet and testnet phases.

🧪
Eligible
MODULE_01 · TESTNET
Testnet Participants
Wallets that participated in Espresso's Cappuccino, Doppio or Decaf testnets. Any on-chain testnet interaction qualifies for base allocation.
⚙️
3× Mult
MODULE_02 · OPERATORS
L2 Operators
Teams running L2 networks that integrated Espresso's shared sequencer receive a 3× allocation multiplier — you power the network.
🔐
Eligible
MODULE_03 · VALIDATORS
HotShot Validators
Node operators who ran HotShot BFT consensus nodes during any Espresso testnet phase qualify based on uptime and participation duration.
🌐
2× Mult
MODULE_04 · ECOSYSTEM
Integrated L2 Users
Active users of L2 networks that integrated Espresso sequencing — Arbitrum Orbit, OP Stack chains, Polygon CDK and zkSync chains — earn a 2× ecosystem bonus.
🛠
Bonus
MODULE_05 · BUILDERS
Protocol Builders
Developers who built applications on Espresso-powered L2s or contributed to Espresso's open-source repositories earn the Builder bonus tier.
🤝
Eligible
MODULE_06 · COMMUNITY
Early Community
Early Discord members, governance forum contributors and early ESP ecosystem participants before the mainnet launch qualify for community allocation.
Step-by-step Guide

How to Claim
ESP Tokens

01
Connect Your EVM Wallet
Use MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet or any EVM-compatible wallet. Connect the wallet that held eligible assets or participated in Espresso testnets at snapshot time. Hardware wallets supported via WalletConnect.
02
Check ESP Eligibility
The portal scans your wallet across all six eligibility modules — testnet participation, L2 operations, HotShot validation, ecosystem usage, builder activity and community contribution — and displays your full ESP allocation with tier breakdown.
03
Claim ESP Tokens
Sign a single transaction to claim your full ESP allocation. Tokens land directly in your wallet. Base allocations are fully liquid immediately — no mandatory lockup for standard tiers.
04
Stake, Govern or Build
Use ESP to stake for sequencer node rewards, participate in Espresso governance, or as fee token on Espresso-integrated L2 networks. ESP stakers help secure the shared sequencer network.

FAQ

Espresso Airdrop
Questions Answered

The Espresso ESP Airdrop distributes ESP tokens — the native token of Espresso's modular shared sequencer network — to early ecosystem participants. Espresso Systems provides decentralised, high-throughput transaction sequencing as infrastructure for L2 networks, enabling fast finality and cross-rollup composability.

Espresso's shared sequencer is modular infrastructure that replaces centralised L2 sequencers with a decentralised HotShot BFT consensus network. It provides fast pre-confirmations (under 1 second), MEV resistance and cross-rollup atomic composability — meaning transactions can span multiple L2 chains simultaneously.

Eligible participants include: Espresso testnet participants (Cappuccino, Doppio, Decaf), HotShot validator node operators, L2 teams integrating Espresso (3× multiplier), active users of Espresso-integrated L2 networks (2× multiplier), smart contract developers on Espresso-powered chains, and early community contributors.

Espresso has announced integrations with Arbitrum Orbit chains, OP Stack rollups, Polygon CDK chains, and zkSync-based networks. Users who interacted with these L2s during periods when Espresso's sequencer was active qualify for the integrated L2 user tier with a 2× allocation multiplier.

ESP is the native token of the Espresso network. You can stake ESP to run or delegate to sequencer nodes and earn fee revenue, participate in on-chain governance for protocol upgrades, use ESP as the fee token on Espresso-integrated L2 networks, or provide liquidity in ESP pools on integrated DEXs.
